The position of Carpet Cleaning Team Leader for Abracadabra Cleaning Services is a very rewarding experience for the Team Leader as well as the clients that you come into contact with. No previous carpet cleaning experience is required, but your ability to work with people is a must. More important than being a carpet cleaning technician, you must be proficient in working with and communicating with the clients that we perform services for. Furthermore you will be required to manage a two man van ensuring that everything goes smoothly throughout the working day. This will involve training and mentoring a junior member of staff.
A very important part of the role is pricing up work for new clients. For this job not only will you require a high standard of technical knowledge (full training will be provided), but also the ability to quickly develop a rapport With people you have never met. Good communication is again absolutely essential. You will also need the ability to be able to use a laptop computer to print out the quotation for the client. Therefore a working knowledge of the Windows environment on a PC as well as competent typing skills are important.
Your working hours will vary but will tend to be between about 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday as well as working the occasional Saturday. Our employees are our main assets and therefore we pay people a good wage that includes a very reasonable bonus scheme. Your salary should fall into the range of 20-25K per annum when you have included performance related bonuses.

The following is a list of the skills you will learn during your first 90 days of training in order to be a successful member of our team: You will learn how to effectively communicate with people. You will become a teacher to our clients that they will respect and trust. You will be in the process of learning proper cleaning methods and becoming an expert in the field. This will also include instruction by IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification) and certification testing that will be paid for by the company.
